Precious metal prices drop by 3.5%
ArmInfo. 3.5% average decline in precious metal prices will be fixed in Armenia for the current week against the background of 3.3% drop in gold, silver and platinum prices and 4.1% drop in palladium price.
The State Depository of Precious Metals and Stones of the Armenian Finance Ministry told ArmInfo that the following prices have been fixed for July 16-22 2012: gold (small bullions) - 20,935.81 AMD (3.1% weekly drop), silver - 360.47 AMD (3.7% drop), platinum - 18,921.32 AMD (4.1% drop), palladium - 7,670.7 AMD (3.1% drop).
As compared to the beginning of 2012, gold in Armenia has grown in price by 5.6%, platinum by 7.6%, while silver and palladium prices dropped by 0.1% and 1.6%, respectively. The average growth of precious metal prices since the beginning of 2012 is 2.9%.
