Card transactions in processing networks of VTB Bank (Armenia) and Areximbank-Gazprombank Group up 33.8% and more than threefold respectively over year
ArmInfo. The total volume of the card transactions in the processing network of VTB Bank (Armenia) was up 33.8% over year to 192 mln AMD by late July 2012.
Armenian Card told ArmInfo that in the total volume of transactions, the cash operations in the processing network of VTB Bank (Armenia) grew by 39.4% over July 2012 versus July 2011 and totaled 186.8 mln AMD. The non-cash operations declined by 45.1% to 5.2 mln AMD.
In the meantime, the volume of card transactions in the processing network of Areximbank-Gazprombank Group was up more than threefold in July 2012 versus July 2011 and amounted to 170.6 mln AMD, including 152.6 mln AMD cash operations (3.3-fold y-o-y growth) and 17 mln AMD non-cash operations (3.5-fold y-o-y growth).
To note, VTB Bank (Armenia) issues and serves Visa international cards and serves ArCa local cards, and Areximbank-GPB Group issues and serves Visa, MasterCard and ArCa cards.
