In Aug 2012 AMD appreciated against USD by 0.4%

ArmInfo. In Aug 2012 as compared with Aug 2011 AMD depreciated against USD by 12%. As a result, the exchange rate grew from 367.07 AMD/1 USD in Aug 2011 to 410.84 AMD/1 USD in Aug 2012.

The National Statistical Service of Armenia reports that as compared with July 2012 AMD appreciated against USD by 0.4%, while as compared with Dec 2011 it depreciated by 7.2% against 1.8% depreciation in Jan- Aug 2011. In Jan-Aug 2012 there was 2.3% deflation against 0.2% deflation a year before.
