Individual clientele of Armenian banks grew by 1% in July 2012
ArmInfo. As of Aug 1 2012 Armenia's commercial banks had 1,427,791 individual and 70,909 corporate customers, with 1,498,700 customers having 1,797,881 accounts in the banks.
The National Statistical Service of Armenia reports that in July 2012 as compared with June 2012 the banks' clientele grew by 1% or 14,179 customers, as compared with July 2011 by 19.3% or 251,985. The number of individual customers increased by 1% and 20.2%, while that of corporate ones decreased by 0.04% and grew by 3.3%, respectively.
As compared with June 2012 the number of accounts in the banks grew by 1.4% or 25,114, while as compared with July 2011 the index dropped by 10.5% or 210,198 accounts. The number of individual accounts grew by 1.5% and decreased by 10.4%, while that of corporate ones decreased by 0.2% and by 11.5%, respectively.
