Foreign currency forwards not so often used in Armenia
Arminfo. According to public opinion poll held by HSBC, major part of Armenian companies have been cooperating just with Chinese businessmen. During the seminar of the Academy for Trade Financing, organized by HSBC, the head of the trade financing department of "HSBC Bank Armenia", Artur Petrosyan, told Arminfo correspondent, that the currency forwards in Chinese yuan were introduced to escape foreign currency risk. "The fact that HSBC is the biggest foreign bank in China, available practically in any part of the country, simplifies the work of our clients with Chinese partners", - Petrosyan said.
The manager of the department on business development at financial markets of "HSBS Bank Armenia", Marine Nikogosyan, added that unfortunately the Armenian market has been slowly developing in the sphere of the produced instruments, the reason of the limited application of which is the low level of information awareness of local businessmen. "We always organize the fact-finding seminars and events for the given instrument to be widely used", - she said.
