Thies Clemenz is new CEO at HSBC Bank Armenia
ArmInfo. HSBC Bank Armenia has a new Chief Executive Officer - Thies Clemenz, who has replaced Astrid Clifford in this position. This is the 8th appointment since the launch of the Bank's activities in Armenia (since 1996). The new CEO has a 14-year experience of work in the banking sector. Before coming to Armenia, Clemenz worked at HSBC Luxembourg.
At today's official ceremony, Clemenz said that he will do his best to continue the dynamic development of HSBC Bank Armenia, which will continue supporting Armenia's economy, providing financial services, investing in innovative and promising projects, carrying out trade financing, etc.
Invited to the ceremony were representatives of the Central Bank of Armenia, commercial banks, British and German Embassies in Armenia, international organizations, as well as the customers of HSBC Bank Armenia.
To note, HSBC Bank Armenia launched its activity in Armenia in 1996. Since that time, the assets of the Bank have grown from $5 mln to $480 mln. The customer base of the Bank numbers over 35 thsd individuals and legal entities. The Bank's shareholders are HSBC Europe B.V. (70%) and Wings Establishment (30%). Over 83% in the loan portfolio of the Bank falls on corporate loans (103 bln AMD, 17% growth over I half of 2012).
