ArmInfo. In 2013 Ameriabank is planning to exceed the average growth of the banking sector, Development Manager of Ameriabank Tigran Jrbashyan said during a press-conference on Tuesday.
He said that in the last five years Armenia's banking sector has grown by 18-22% a year and will show a similar growth in 2013.
Jrbashyan said that in Q3 2012 the bank increased its key figures by an average of 30-40%: the profit grew by 60% as compared with Q3 2011 and by 86% as compared with Q2 2012 to 6bln AMD. "We managed to do it due to competent development strategy, simplified lending system, attractive deposit terms and chip cards," the banker said.
Financial Manager of Ameriabank Gevorg Tarumyan said that in terms of financial performance the bank went up from the 4th to 2nd rank. In Q3 2012 its assets grew by 20% to 241.5bln AMD, obligations by 1/4, private deposits by 24%, corporate deposits by 37%. The number of retail customers grew by 20%, the corporate clientele by 10%.
