Armenian PM: 2013 will become a turning point in development of e- payments in Armenia
ArmInfo. The year 2013 will become a turning point in development of e-payments in Armenia, Prime Minister of Armenia Tigran Sargsyan said at the 1st international conference "Money Transfers in the CIS: Development Prospects, New Trends and Technologies," held in Yerevan on Friday.
He said that in the coming years Armenia will reform this field. The public awareness will be raised, as a result, the number of internet users making e-payments will grow. This will stimulate the development of e-banking and new money transfer technologies.
Sargsyan said that in 2013 the country's taxation system will switch to e-reporting. Besides, there will be a law stipulating that income tax payers should submit e-reports on their payments.
Organized by UNISTREAM, the conference involves representatives of national CBs, international organizations, banking organizations, payment systems and companies developing technological solutions in the field of banking.
