Money supply in Armenia up 2.1% to 1.267 trillion AMD for Sept 2012
ArmInfo. Money supply in Armenia was up by 2.1% (by 26 billion drams) for September 2012 to 1.267 trillion drams. As compared to Sept 2011, this index grew by 24.2%.
Preliminary data of the Armenian Central Bank provided to ArmInfo by the National Statistical Service of Armenia say that cash circulated out of the banking system grew by 0.1% in Sept 2012 (11% y-o-y growth) and totaled 355.4 bln AMD by 1 October 2012 (28% of the money supply). The share of deposits in terms of the Armenian dram in total money supply was 26.3% or 333.7 billion drams. The share of foreign deposits was 45.5% or 564.2 billion drams.
