Rosgosstrakh Armenia awards talented winners of student paper competition
ArmInfo. Rosgosstrakh Armenia Insurance Company has awarded the winners of the student paper competition on insurance. Minister of Education and Science of Armenia Armen Ashotyan, the heads of Armenian higher educational establishments and the leadership of the company attended the awarding ceremony.
All the students were given certificates and monetary prizes in the amount of 100,000 AMD. In his speech, Executive Director of the company Gagik Grigoryan said that insurance is quite promising in Armenia. "We assign high priority to investing in education and we are ready to further support our students, for we are interested in preparation of highly qualified specialists," Grigoryan said. He recounted that Rosgosstrakh Armenia allocated scholarships for the best students yet last year. This year the company has expanded the list of the higher educational establishments that will receive scholarships. Minister of Education and Science Armen Ashotyan said, in turn, that education is expensive and the private sector alongside with the government should contribute to development of the educational system of Armenia.
After the awarding ceremony, the company announced the terms of the second stage of the competition for the winners of the paper competition. The grand prize is a trip to Moscow with probation period and training at Rosgosstrakh Company and at a leading university in Moscow. In addition, the winners of the first three places will receive monetary prizes: 300,000 AMD, 200,000 AMD and 100,000 AMD, respectively.
The paper topics were on the pension insurance, mandatory medical insurance, perspective insurance products etc.
Rosgosstrakh Armenia CJSC was founded in 2008. It is part of ROSGOSSTRAKH Group (Russia). The statutory capital of the company is 2.13 billion drams ($6 million). The company serves 15 offices in Yerevan and 33 in the big regional centers and towns in Armenia. The company was the first to receive ISO 9001:2008 certificate from Moody International.
