In Q3 2012 Armenian banks issued less SME loans than in Q2 2012
ArmInfo. In Q3 2012 Armenia's commercial banks lend SMEs a total of 421.5bln AMD or $1bln – 26.9% of all of their loans and 45.1% more than in Q3 2011. As compared with Q2 2012 the index roped by 1.9%.
According to ArmInfo's Ranking of Commercial Banks of Armenia, Ardshininvestbank registered the biggest quarterly drop – 49.7%, Converse Bank and Byblos Bank Armenia the highest growths – 87% and 99%, respectively.
Most of the international credit programs in Armenia are aimed at supporting SMEs, among them projects by KfW, EBRD, IFC, ADB, BSTDB and WB.
