Yuri Gusev: VTB Bank (Armenia) is going to become a banking retail leader by 2014
ArmInfo. VTB Bank (Armenia) is going to become a banking retail leader by 2014, Yuri Gusev, Director General, Chairman of the Directorate of VTB Bank (Armenia), told ArmInfo.
"We have been demonstrating the highest growth rates of our portfolios and customer base for nearly three years. This year we have become bank No.1 in the card business and gained the second position in provision of personal loans. I think the only major goal of our bank may be to become the leader in this market", he said.
As regards the demand for retail services in the regions, he stressed that the most demanded services there are conversion, transfers and lending, particularly, lombard loans and other kinds of consumer loans. Gusev added that almost the whole range of services is launched in the VTB branches in large towns.
Gusev said that the most efficient branches in retail are the central branches in Yerevan and the large regional branches in Gyumri, Vanadzor and Meghri. "Moreover, the branch in Meghri is one of our best branches, which regularly demonstrates serious results", he stressed.
To note, VTB Bank (Armenia) has the largest branch network in the country - 69 branches (44 in the regions and 25 in Yerevan). The Bank issues and serves Visa cards and serves the local ArCa cards. As of 1 October 2012, the number of active cards of the Bank was 200 thsd (1st position).
