Financial sector and developer companies of Armenia invested nearly $300 million in capital construction for Jan-Nov 2012
ArmInfo. World Bank provided loans to the capital construction sector in Armenia in the amount of 13.3 bln drams ($33 mln) or 41.8% of total international loans provided to the construction sector of Armenia for the period under review - 31.8 bln drams ($79.1 mln). WB's investments in the construction sector of Armenia fell 14.4% versus Jan-Nov 2011. WB invested 1,4 bln drams ($3.5) in the capital construction sector in Nov alone, which is 45.9% less than for Nov 2011.
By data of the Armenian National Statistical Service, capital investments in construction for Jan-Nov 212 fell 0.7% versus the same period of 2011 and totaled 380.1 billion drams ($947 million). The share of construction and assembly in total capital construction was 339.9 billion drams, which was 4,8% more than a year ago. For Nov alone this indicator totaled 59.4 bln drams with a 5% growth versus Nov 2011. Capital investments in construction of Armenia for Nov 65.1 bln drams ($159.8 mln), which is 0.4% higher than for Nov 2011.
The state budget invested 61.5 billion drams ($153.3 million, down 7.6% versus Jan-Nov 2011) in capital construction or 16.2% of total expenses in capital construction. Organizations spent 184.8 billion drams ($460.4 million, down 0.2%) on capital construction or 48.6% of total investments in the sphere in Armenia. The population spent 80.1 billion drams ($199.5 million, up 34.1%) or 21% of total investments in the sphere. Asian Development Bank invested 1.1 bln drams in capital construction in Armenia with an annual decline of 80.1% or 0,3% of total investments in the sector. EBRD provided 4.4 billion drams loans ($11.1 million, up 4fold) or 1.2% of total. KfW provided 8.4 bln drams loans (up 4fold) or 2.2% of total. Hayastan All Armenian Fund provided 583.4 mln drams (up 7.4%) or 0.2% of total. UN provided 22.6 mln drams (up 23.5%).
Developer companies provided 97.3 bln drams ($242.3 mln, 25.6% of total spending on construction in Armenia) in Jan-Nov 2012. Transport sector spend 50.5 bln drams on construction ($125.8 mln, 13.3%), power engineering, and gas supply sectors - 36.6 bln drams($91.1 mln. 9.6%, financial sector - 22.4 bln drams ($55.9 mln, 5.9%). Then goes processing industry - 19.8 bln drams (5.2%)m water supply sector - 18.9 bln drams (5%), public catering - 18.4 bln drams (4.9%), education - 16.4 bln drams (4.3%), information and communications - 14.8 bln drams (3.9%), and wholesale and retail trade - 14.7 bln drams (3.9%), cultural sector - 11.9 bln drams (3.1%), mining industry and exploitation of mines - 11.8 bln drams (3.1%), agriculture - 10.7 bln drams (2.8%), and health sector - 5.5 bln drams (1.4%).
The average market exchange rate of USD/AMD for Jan-Nov 2012 was 40.1.42 drams/US$1, and 407.14 AMD/1 USD for Nov alone.
