Share of legal parsons up 58,3% and individual persons - 33,8% for 4Q 2012 in credit portfolio of Armenian banks
Arminfo. The total assets of the banking system of Armenia grew by 5,7% for the 4Q 2012 and reached $6.1 bln (2.478 trillion drams) by 1 January 2013, press-service of Central Bank reported. 
The total volume of crediting of individual persons by the banks grew by 5.9% for the 4Q 2012 and amounted to $1.3 bln (540.1 bln drams) by 1 January 3013. Moreover, the credits delivered to the inter-connected persons and bank employees dropped by  16,2% - to 63.8 bln drams ($158.1 mln) for the reported period. The crediting volume of legal persons grew by 5,7% - up to 932.4 bln drams ($2.3 bln) for the 4Q 2012. The share of legal persons in the credit portfolio of Armenian banks grew a little for the reported period - up to 58,3%, and of individual persons - from 33,4% up to 33,8%. 
The volume of investments of the commercial banks in the state securities grew by 14,3% for the 4Q 2012 and by 1 January 2013 reached  $449 mln (181.2 bln drams). The volume of funds in nostro-accounts reduced by 18,3% for the reported quarter and amounted to 82.7 bln drams ($204.9 mln). The requirements for Central Bank (including correspondent accounts) grew by 21,7% up to 265 bln drams ($656.6 mln), and cash funds grew by 7,1% up to 99 bln drams ($245.3 mln).
According to Central Bank, as of 1 January 2013, 22 banks were functioning at the territory of Armenia (including the Pan-Armenian Bank) and 479 their offices (against 465 as of 1 October 2012).
