Armenia's financial sector presents its products at FINAR
ArmInfo. A three-day exhibition on Armenia's financial sector kicked off in Yerevan on Friday. The title of the exhibition is FINAR (Financial Armenia), the goal is to strengthen business ties between market players and potential financial service users, to promote financial products and to develop the financial sector as a whole.
Banks, insurance companies and credit organizations are taking part in the event. The Central Bank of Armenia has a special pavilion. This is the first such exhibition.
Chairman of the Central Bank Artur Javadyan and Prime Minister of Armenia Tigran Sargsyan sent messages to the FINAR participants.
Javadyan said that improvements in Armenia's financial sector are having a good effect on the life, mentality and social status of people.
"This is a unique opportunity to see the achievements and innovations of the sector," Javadyan said.
Sargsyan said that FINAR will help the companies involved in it to establish new business contacts and to enlarge their presence on the market.
A wide range of financial and insurance products and innovative technologies have been presented at the exhibition. ArmBusinessBank has appeared with a new, unique product, co-branding card, issued jointly with the Czech Airlines.
Areximbank-Gazprombank Group is exhibiting an e-commerce service – a chance to buy products in Armenian internet stores using Visas and MasterCards.
The CB is featuring an automated system allowing customers to carry out online government bond and foreign exchange transactions with the bank. "This will guarantee no data leakage, misinformation, mistakes or waste of time," the author of the software Tigran Mirzoyan said.
Just 14 organizations are taking part in FINAR, but member of the CB's Board Oleg Aghasyan believes that next time the exhibition will have much more participants.
FINAR has been EXPO media with the official support of the Government, Finance Ministry and Central Bank of Armenia.
