Customer base of Armenian banks up 42.9% since early 2013


ArmInfo. By 1 March 2013 the customer base of the Armenian banking system numbered 171285 individuals and 72304 legal entities. By the preliminary data of the Central Bank of Armenia, a total of 1643589 customers had 2737842 accounts in Armenian banks, with 2581028 of them being personal deposits and 156814 corporate deposits.

As compared with the beginning of 2013, the customer base of Armenian banks has risen by 4.4% (16.2% y-o-y growth), while the number of accounts in the banks has grown by 42.9% (32.5% y-o-y growth).
