In April 2013 farmlands in Armenia dropped in price by 2%, while housing construction plots grew in price by 1.7%
ArmInfo. In April the average market price of 1 ha of farmland was 1.1 mln AMD (Yerevan exclusive), 2% less than in April 2012.
The State Committee of the Real Estate Cadastre of Armenia told ArmInfo that considerable price decline was fixed in 7 towns: Vagharshapat (by 16.7% to 2.3 mln AMD per 1 ha), Hrazdan (by 13.3% to 1.3 mln AMD), Armavir (by 11% to 1.4 mln AMD), Alaverdi (by10.4% to 602.3 thsd AMD), Ashtarak (by 10% to 3.6 mln AMD), Yeghvard (by 7% to 2.6 mln), Abovyan (by 4% to 4.5 mln AMD). The biggest growth in prices was fixed in 6 towns: Tsaghkahovit (by 16% to 272.3 thsd AMD per 1 ha), Talin (by 12% to 661.2 thsd AMD), Tashir (by 11.3% to 155 thsd AMD), Vardenis (by 11.2% to 415.1 thsd AMD), Sisian (by 9.4% to 540 thsd AMD), Artik (by 9% to 412.3 thsd AMD).
In April 2013 the highest prices of farmlands were in Abovyan, Ashtarak and Masis - 3-4.5 mln AMD per 1 ha, and the lowest prices were in Tsaghkahovit and Tashir.
In the meantime, housing construction plots grew in price by 1.7% to 1.1 mln AMD per 1 ha (Yerevan exclusive). The biggest growth was fixed in 4 towns: Gugark (by 18.2% to 1.3 mln AMD per 1 ha), Ani (by 9.8% to 173.5 thsd AMD), Meghri (by 9.5% to 208 thsd AMD), Vayk (by 8.8% to 217.5 thsd AMD).
The highest prices of housing construction plots were fixed in Yeghvard - 2.8 mln AMD per 1 ha and Ashtarak - 2.6 mln AMD. Abovyan, Gugark, Armavir and Masis rank next (the price ranges from 1.2 to 2 mln AMD). The lowest prices were fixed in Tashir (90 thsd AMD), Tsaghkahovit (88 thsd AMD) and Amasia (71 thsd AMD).
