Insurance contracts dropped in number by 22% in Q1 2013
ArmInfo. In Q1 2013 the insurance companies of Armenia signed a total of 289466 contracts (down 22% versus Q1 2012).
The Ranking of Insurance Companies of Armenia by the Agency of Rating Marketing Information (ArmInfo) says that the number of the contracts signed in the segment of accident insurance was the biggest - 12333 contracts (almost 2-fold growth), and Rosgosstrakh Armenia was in the lead with 8674 contracts.
Health insurance holds the second position by the number of contracts signed - 9125 (almost 7-fold decline versus Q1 2012). Armenia Insurance signed most of the contracts - 3575. A total of 8011 contracts were signed in the travel insurance segment (over 2-fold decline), with INGO Armenia being in the lead - 3488 contracts.
A total of 4849 contracts were signed in the segment of overland transport use liability insurance (up 60.9%), and the leader was Rosgosstrakh Armenia with 4608 contracts.
The number of contracts signed in the segment of property insurance against fire and disasters was 3758 (almost 2-fold growth), with INGO Armenia being in the lead - 1551 contracts. Overland vehicle insurance had 2713 contracts (down 40%), and SIL Insurance was the leader in this segment - 731 contracts. Cargo transportation insurance saw 1445 contracts (almost 2-fold decline), with Rosgosstrakh Armenia being in the lead - 445 contracts.
As regards the motor third party liability insurance, in Q1 2013 the Armenian insurers signed 246021 contracts (down 8% versus Q1 2012). Rosgosstrakh Armenia signed most of the contracts in the given segment - 77479.
