Inclusive Summer Camp opens at Elen Resort in Stepanavan with support of VTB Bank (Armenia)
ArmInfo. Inclusive Summer Camp 2013 for children with disabilities opened at Elen Resort in Stepanavan with blessing of the religious leader of the town of Stepanavan Vram Ghazaryan, on August 4.
The area of the resort was repaired and beautified with the support of the VTB Bank (Armenia). The resort main building and cottages were repaired and furnished. The sanitary conveniences were adjusted to the needs of the children with disabilities.
"We must not stay aside of the problems of the part of the society that is especially vulnerable now. Helping and supporting children with disabilities and bringing joy to them are our responsibility, our common task. I think it is a responsibility of everyone who earns money in this country. We must participate in charitable projects, care for children and people with disabilities. I hope this camp will help children and their parents take mind off things, acquire new strengths, and enjoy their rest in a renovated and modernized Elen Resort. I'd like to highlight the efforts of the employees of VTB Bank (Armenia) whose donations made it possible to deliver new equipment, open-air rest facilities and toys to the resort. The bank is grateful also to its partner, G.C. Construction Company, that has repaired the resort," said Yuri Gusev, Director General-Chairman of Board of VTB Bank (Armenia) CJSC.
He said that the Bank will continue the reconstruction activities next year and a special reconstruction project has been drafted for the resort.
Head of Productive Life NGO Suren Magakyan, in turn, said that the organization's efforts would be useless but for the support of all the structures involved in the charity projects.
"Cooperation with VTB Bank (Armenia) has become a tradition. Due to our combined work, more and more children get opportunities to enjoy rest at the comfortable camp of Productive Life NGO that was donated by VTB Bank (Armenia) in August 2012," he said.
Productive Life NGO has been organizing summer camp for children with disabilities for the 4th year in succession. This year a total of 150 people have arrived from various towns of Armenia, including 98 children with disabilities, to have a rest at the camp. The remaining children are from vulnerable families. VTB Bank (Armenia) CJSC joined VTB Group in April 2004. VTB Bank OJSC holds 100% stake in VTB Bank (Armenia). The Bank is a leader in terms of a range of key figures in the banking system of Armenia. The Ban serves the largest branch-network in the country.
