Central Bank: Net inflow of non-commercial transfers via banking system of Armenia up 10.9% over year
ArmInfo. In Jan-Aug 2013 the net inflow of private non- commercial transfers of individuals via the banking system of Armenia grew by 10.9% as compared with Jan-Aug 2012, the press service of the Central Bank of Armenia (CBA) reports.
To recall, in Jan-Aug 2012 the net inflow of private non-commercial transfers of individuals grew by 8.4% to 843.6 mln AMD due to the equal growth in both the inflow and the outflow to 1.022 bln AMD and 179 mln AMD, respectively. Russia was in the lead in the structure of incoming and outgoing transfers - 85.2% in the total inflow and 56.6% in the total outflow.
To note, in Jan-July 2013 the net inflow of private non-commercial transfers of individuals via the banking system of Armenia grew 5-fold as compared with Jan-July 2012 and totaled $766.1 mln. The inflow grew 5-fold to 1.2 bln USD (of which $942 mln was non-commercial transfers), and the outflow rose almost 8- fold to $461.4 mln (of which $175.9 mln was non-commercial transfers). Russia was in the lead in the structure of incoming and outgoing transfers - 84.6% in the total inflow and 56.8% in the total outflow.
