10 banks among top 100 largest taxpayers of Armenia in Jan-Sept 2013
ArmInfo. Over Jan-Sept 2013, 10 banks have found themselves among the top 100 largest taxpayers of Armenia. The top five of them includes HSBC Bank Armenia, VTB Bank (Armenia), ACBA-Credit Agricole Bank, Ardshininvestbank and Ameriabank.
The State Revenue Committee of Armenia reports that over Jan-Sept 2013 HSBC Bank Armenia held the 17th position among the largest taxpayers, having paid 3.634 bln AMD to the state budget (of which 3.287 bln AMD as profit tax and income tax). VTB Bank (Armenia) was the 18th with 3.585 bln AMD (including 3.258 bln AMD as profit tax and income tax). ACBA-Credit Agricole Bank was the 22nd with 3.002 bln AMD (including 2.863 bln AMD as profit tax and income tax). Ardshininvestbank was the 28th with 2.737 bln AMD (including 2.658 bln AMD as profit tax and income tax). Ameriabank was the 35th with 2.461 bln AMD (including 2.374 bln AMD as profit tax and income tax).
The top 100 largest taxpayers of Armenia also include Unibank (38th position - 2.243 bln AMD, including 2.103 bln AMD as profit tax and income tax), ARARATBANK (44th position - 1.701 bln AMD, including 1.490 bln AMD as profit tax and income tax), INECOBANK (48th position - 1.560 bln AMD, including 1.538 bln AMD as profit tax and income tax), Areximbank-Gazprombank Group (56th position - 1.301 bln AMD, including 1.121 bln AMD as profit tax and income tax), ArmBusinessBank (62nd position - 1.221 bln AMD, including 1.120 bln AMD as profit tax and income tax), Converse Bank (75th position - 1.110 bln AMD, including 948 mln AMD as profit tax and income tax).
Armeconombank held the 103rd position, having paid 821 mln AMD (including 746.8 mln AMD as profit tax and income tax), Prometey Bank was the 104th (819 mln AMD, including 800.6 mln AMD as profit tax and income tax), Anelik Bank (110th position - 784.8 mln AMD, including 748.9 mln AMD as profit tax and income tax), ArmSwissBank (131st position - 679.4 mln AMD, including 673.7 mln as profit tax and income tax), Armenian Development Bank was the 134th - 662.8 mln AMD (including 647.4 mln AMD as profit tax and income tax), ProCredit Bank (176th position - 482.7 mln AMD, including 417 mln AMD as profit tax and income tax).
Only 12 of the 33 credit companies and one leasing company are in the list. Finca is the 116th, Aregak is the 144th, Norvik is the 222nd, Kamurj is the 247th, SEF International is the 297th, Farm Credit Armenia is the 582nd, Bless is the 598th, the National Mortgage Company I the 633rd, Affordable Housing for Young Families is the 981st, Express Credit is the 700th, Fast Credit Capital is the 755th. ACBA Leasing is the 183rd.
Of them Finca paid in taxes 761.3mln AMD, Aregak 599.5mln AMD, ACBA Leasing 457.3mln AMD.
According to ArmInfo's Ranking of Commercial Banks of Armenia, in Jan- Sept 2013 HSBC Bank Armenia, Ardshininvestbank, VTB Bank (Armenia), ACBA Credit Agricole Bank and Ameriabank had the biggest accumulated profits in Armenia's banking system – 21.1bln AMD, 20.1bln AMD, 17.5bln AMD, 14.4bln AMD and 13.4bln AMD, respectively.
