My Financial Month project is over


ArmInfo. The My Financial Month project is over.

Various events have been held in its framework all over Armenia in the last month, this including a tour of financial organizations, workshops and competitions for schoolchildren and students.

"Their goal was to improve the financial awareness of our population. Today we have almost 2,000,000 bank customers. So, we are going to hold such events on a regular basis," President of the Union of Banks of Armenia Seyran Sargsyan told ArmInfo.

The project was launched on Oct 1 and involved the Central Bank of Armenia, KfW, SBFIC, USAID, NASDAQ OMX and a number of financial institutions.

Each Oct 31 the world marks the World Savings Day. The day has been marked since Oct 31 1924 when savings bank representatives from 29 countries formed a world society of savings banks.
