Armenia ranked 6th in CIS by money transfers from Russia
ArmInfo. Armenia is ranked the 6th among the CIS countries by money transfers from Russia, according to data of the Bank of Russia. Money transfers from Russia to Armenia amounted to $616 million in the period from Jan to Jun 2013.
For the period under review, the biggest amount of money was transferred from Russia to Uzbekistan - $3.4 bln drams. Ukraine is on the second position with $1.6 bln. Then goes Tajikistan with $1.6 bln. Moldova received $887 million money transfers from Russia, Kyrghyzstan - $870 million, Azerbaijan - $524 million, Belarus - $426 million, Kazakhstan - $152 million, and Turkmenistan - $14 million.
Total money transfers from Russia to CIS for the first half of 2013 amounted to $9.86 billion, which is 22.3% more than for the same period of 2012.
