Armenian coin recognized as the world's most beautiful coin at Vicenza Numismatica


ArmInfo. A coin commemorating the 500th year of book printing in Armenia won the World's Most Beautiful Coin category at International Numismatic Prizes Vicenza Numismatica, an international numismatic fair held in Italy in Sept-Nov 2016.

The press service of the Central Bank of Armenia reports that the other two categories were the Best Architectonic Representation and the Best Artist.

Designed by Vardan Vardanyan, the coin pictures the first Armenian book published in Venice in 1512.
