Since early 2013 customer base of Armenian banks has grown by 16.4% amid almost twofold growth in accounts
ArmInfo. By 1 November 2013 the customer base of the Armenian banking system numbered 1,802,082 individuals and 75,873 legal entities. According to the Armenian Central Bank's preliminary data provided to ArmInfo by the National Statistical Service of Armenia, a total of 1,877,955 customers had 3,146,917 accounts in the Armenian banks, with 2,981,703 belonging to individuals and 165,214 - to legal entities.
The source says that since early 2013 the customer base of Armenian banks has grown by 16.4% or by 264,329 customers (up 1.3% in October 2013 and up 21.2% versus versus Oct 2012). In the meantime, the number of accounts in the banks has risen almost twofold (up 1.1% in Oct 2013, almost 2-fold growth versus Oct 2012).
