Armenian dram devaluates against US dollar 0.1% in Dec 2013 amid 0.1% year-over-year revaluation
ArmInfo. The Armenian national dram revaluated against US dollar 0.1% in Jan-Dec 2013 amid 0.1% devaluation in Dec alone, the National Statistical Service reports. The exchange rate made up 405.3AMD/US$1 in Dec 2013 versus 405.5AMD/US$1 in Dec 2012.
The source reports 1.1% inflation in the consumer market in Dec 2013. This indicator totaled 5.6% versus Dec 2012 and 5.8% for Jan-Dec 2013 versus the same period of 2012. For comparison, inflation totaled 3.2% in Jan-Dec 2012 amid 5.8% devaluation of AMD against USD. In Dec 2012 consumer prices grew 2.1% amid 0.3% revaluation of AMD against USD. Inflation for Jan-Dec 2012 totaled 3.2% and AMD devaluated against USD 5.8%.
According to the National Statistical Service of Armenia, in Jan-Dec 2011 AMD devaluated against USD 6.2% amid 4.7% inflation. In 2010 inflation made up 9.4% and AMD revaluation against USD made up 5.2%. In Dec 2011 inflation totaled 2.5% amid 0.1% devaluation of AMD against USD.
