ArmenTel and Ameriabank launch online payment facility for Beeline subscribers


ArmInfo. ArmenTel (Beeline brand) and Ameriabank announce the launch of online payment facility for Beeline subscribers.

Now ArmenTel clients can pay for Beeline services online via MasterCard, VISA and ArCa cards at www.beeline.am. To make a payment, clients just need a MasterCard or Visa card issued by any bank, no need to register virtual card. All clients having ArCa virtual cards can also use this service.

"This joint initiative of ArmenTel and Ameriabank is a serious investment into promotion of e-commerce in Armenia, aimed at making Beeline services more convenient than ever, since now you can pay communication bills by Master Card and Visa cards without even opening a virtual card", said Andrey Pyatakhin, CEO of ArmenTel.

"Setting much store by development of non-cash operations, Ameriabank has elaborated this new software solution – a virtual POS-terminal, enabling e-merchants to accept payments by VISA, MasterCard and ArCa cards easily and smoothly. This new initiative of ArmenTel and Ameriabank opens new possibilities for accepting payments for all Beeline services online. Security of online transactions is ensured by VbV (Verified by VISA) and 3DSecure technologies", said Artak Hanesyan, CEO of Ameriabank.

Ameriabank's Director for Technologies and Operations Burastan Movsisyan told ArmInfo that the facility covers all of ArmenTel's Internet or fixed telephony subscribers. "We hope that this service will be used by almost 40% of our Internet users," Movsisyan said.

To make payments online, clients are required to enter their subscription number, amount payable and card details, after which the amount will be automatically transferred to the payer's balance. Payments for Beeline communication services can be made at www.beeline.am.

To process online payments Ameriabank has been granted a VISA acquiring license, enabling the bank to accept payments by VISA, MasterCard and ArCa cards from e-merchants, using Visa Verified technologies.
