Customer of VTB Bank (Armenia) wins a Peugeot 107 AT under a joint campaign with MasterCard
ArmInfo. VTB Bank (Armenia) and MasterCard have summed up the results of the campaign "At the Wheel with VTB". The press service of the Bank has told ArmInfo that the campaign participants were holders of Cirrus/MaestroR and MasterCard StandardR, as well as holders of GoldR MasterCards of VTB Bank (Armenia), who used the cards to pay for goods and services in Armenia and abroad and who made online payments. The campaign lasted from April 15 till June 30, 2014.
For each noncash 1,000 AMD transaction at the bank's outlet the customers got 2 bonus points, for each 1,000 AMD transaction at other banks' outlets and abroad they got 1 point. The maximum score per transaction was 50 points. Those who scored the most took part in a draw of 100 prizes: 50 certificates for a -1% credit and 50 certificates for a +1% deposit. The main prize was a Peugeot 107 AT, and its winner is Sona Tsarukyan, a customer of the Bank.
"The goal of the campaign was to show our customers the advantages of MasterCards both in Armenia and abroad and to stimulate the growth of noncash payments among the Bank's customers. We have been cooperating with MasterCard since 2013, and the Master‘ards issued by the Bank are included in the Single ATM Network of VTB Group, i.e. the holders of these cards can withdraw cash from VTB Group's ATM network at the same tariffs as at VTB Bank (Armenia)", says Yuri Gusev, Director General, Chairman of the Management Board of VTB Bank (Armenia).
"The campaign took place at the very beginning of the vacation season and we are sure that most cardholders were glad to pay for shopping in the Motherland and abroad to accumulate bonus points and win interesting prizes. Together with our partner VTB Bank (Armenia), we have demonstrated to the permanent cardholders and new customers of the Bank that it is simple and convenient to pay for shopping and services with MasterCards", says Alexander Dunayev, MasterCard Manager for Armenia, Belarus and Kazakhstan.
According to the Analytical Review "Armenian Banks in Card Business" prepared by the Agency of Rating Marketing Information (ArmInfo), VTB Bank (Armenia) is in the lead in active cards (over 323 thsd cards). It serves local ArCa cards along with issuing and servicing international Visa cards. In late 2013 the Bank started issuing international MasterCards as well (about 3,000 cards by 1 April 2014). The Bank has also been in the lead in pension cards (more than 75 thsd cards) since they were launched in the Armenian market. The Bank has 137 ATMs and 257 own POS terminals.
