Dram - US dollar exchange rate 0,9% in July 2014
Arminfo. In July 2014 the Armenian dram to US dollar strengthened by 0,9%, and demonstrated revaluation, and strengthened by 0.8% versus July 2013. As Armenia's National Statistics Service reported, in Jan-July 2014 the devaluation of dram to US dollar was 0,5%. The average exchange rate in July 2014 was 407,2 AMD/$1, versus 410,5 AMD/$1 - in July 2013.
The consumer prices dropped by 0,9% in July 2014, and by 1,9% in Jan-July. They grew by 0,4% in July 2014 versus July 2013. In Jan-July 2013 the inflation at 3,2% was accompanied by devaluation of the Armenian dram to US dollar by 1,2%, and in July 2013 versus June, when inflation was 0,4%, the revaluation of dram to US dollar was 0,5%.
To recall, the falling of the consumer prices by 1,5% in July 2012 versus June was accompanied by revaluation of the Armenian dram to US dollar by 0,4%, and in Jan-July 2012 against the background of deflation at 1,9%, devaluation of Armenian dram to US dollar was 7,7%. In Jan-July 2011, when inflation was 0,4%, the devaluation of dram to dollar was fixed at 1,8%, and only in July 2011 when deflation was 3%, revaluation of the Armenian dram to US dollar was 1.9%.
