Armenia's financial market continues reducing interest rates
ArmInfo. Armenia's financial market has been steadily reducing interests rates this year.
According to the Central Bank of Armenia, on the primary market on Sept 18 the yield of one-year government bonds made up 7.3% or 0.3% less than on Aug 18. On the interbank market the average monthly repo rate made up 6.9% or 0.2% less than a month before. The average rate of interbank credits made up 6.4% or 0.4% less than on Aug 18.
In Jan-Sept 2014 AMD dropped against USD by 0.4% to 409.5 AMD/1 USD, rose against EUR by 2.5% to 537.7 AMD/ 1 EUR and against RUR by 5.3% to 11.1 AMD/1 RUR.
ON Sept 23 the CB kept its official rate unchanged at 6.75%. Lombard repo and deposit rates were reduced from 8.5% and 5.5% to 8.25% and 5.25%, respectively.
