Till Dec 31 2014 Ameriabank will offer 1% bonus for mortgage loan transferred from another bank


ArmInfo. Till Dec 31 2014 Ameriabank will offer a 1% bonus for a mortgage loan transferred from another bank.

The press service of Ameriabank reports that the campaign covers mortgage loans received by individuals from other banks for purchase, construction or repair of housing or commercial premises.

If a borrower has 10mln AMD or more left to repay, the bonus will help him to buy something for his new house or premises. The loans are given for at least three years, with 3% fine charged in case of early repayment.

In the framework of this campaign, Ameriabank undertakes some additional expenses, like the money paid for cadastral registry of a vehicle or notarization of gold (if they are used as security).

Eligible for transfer are only loans that were issued at least three months before the bid for transfer and that still have at least three years to be fully repaid.

According to ArmInfo's Rating of Banks of Armenia, Ameriabank is one of the leaders in mortgage lending. As of July 1 2014 its mortgage loan book exceeded 11bln AMD or $28mln or 6% of all loans (16.4% growth as compared July 1 2013). Ameriabank's mortgage loans account for 7% of all mortgage loans in Armenia's banking system.

The abovementioned campaign is expected to further improve the bank's position on the mortgage market.
