President: Armenia has all the opportunities to maintain financial stability


Arminfo. President of the Republic of Armenia Serzh Sargsyan participated today in the reception organized by the Central Bank of the Republic of Armenia on the occasion of the New Year and Armenian Christmas.

As press-service of the president reported, the head of state congratulated all employees of the Central Bank and the banking system and their families on the New Year and Armenian Christmas, wishing them health, success, happiness and peace to Armenia. In his congratulatory message, the President also touched upon the latest developments in the currency market, their impact on Armenia’s economy, the successful measures and the future plans. Serzh Sargsyan emphasized that Armenia has sufficient reserves, the will and desire to prevent financial instability. The head of state attached importance to resisting the current challenges through combined efforts in difficult situations and reminded everyone about the successful and effective activities of the Central Bank of the Republic of Armenia during the previous crisis when the banks of several other countries faced big problems in that period. Serzh Sargsyan emphasized that Armenia has all the opportunities to solve the current problems and maintain its financial stability.
