ArmInfo. In January-February 2015 160 million USD were transferred to Armenia and more than 104 million USD were transferred from Armenia. According to the Armenian Central Bank's data, the annual inflows slump was 38.9%, the outflows slump was 16.5%. In February 21.3% of inflows growth was recorded and 35.8% of outflows growth. In total in January-February 2015 the net inflows was 55.6 million USD with the annual decrease of 59.3%.
55% of the money transfers for January-February 2015 were made from Russia with the annual decrease of 53%, 15% from the USA with the annual growth of 20.3%. Russia's share of the outflows from Armenia was 35% with the annual growth of 9.2%. The USA's share was 13% with the annual decrease of 3.6.3%. In total the net inflows from Russia decreased by 66.3% per annum with 9-fold of growth of net inflows from the USA.
Compared to January-February 2008 the transfer inflows reduced by 24%, the outflows - 35%. The inflows from Russia reduced by 35% with a 32% inflows growth from the US. The outflows to Russia increased by 57% with a 48% decrease to the USA.
The Armenian CB forecasts that in 2015 the transfers will be reduced by 30% (in USD), a slowed growth of transfers in Russian roubles. The main factors of the forecast of transfer decrease are the impacts of 2014 Q4 rapid devaluation of the rouble to the USD and the expected 2016 economic slump in Russia.
