Electric power generation in Armenia for Jan-May 2015 dropped by 2.9% versus the same period of
2014 and totaled 3 157 million kWh, the National Statistical Service of Armenia reports.
In Jan-May 2015, the thermal power plants decreased the electric power output by 26.5% to 940.7 mln kWh. The hydropower plants increased the output by 8.7% to 947.8 million kWh. The Armenian Nuclear Power Plant increased the output by 15.5% to 1 266.6 million kWh. Over the period under review, 70.1 thsd GJ of thermal power was generated (31.9% decline). Other sources generated 1.9 mln kWh electric power versus 2.2 mln in Jan-May 2014.
