In June 2015, the consumer market of Armenia saw 1.4% deflation due to 3% reduction in food prices. Alcohol and tobacco inclusive, the food commodities dropped in price by 2.7%, with the nonfood prices falling by 0.6% and the tariffs of services rising by 0.1%.
The Armenian National Statistical Service reports that in Jan-Jun 2015 the consumer price index made up 100%. The index was 97.6% for food prices (alcohol and tobacco inclusive), 104.1% for nonfood prices, and 101.1% for tariffs of services. In Jan-Jun 2015 versus Jan-Jun 2014, these indices made up 105.1%, 105.6%, 105.7% and 103.7%, respectively, and in June 2015 versus June 2014 they made up 105.5%, 105.2%, 107% and 104.1%, respectively.
In June 2015, household services rose in prices by 0.2%, medical services - by 0.6%, transport services - by 0.8%, legal and baking services - by 2%, and the services in culture - by 2.4%.
