
The Yerevan Office of EY, the World known auditing company (former Ernst & Young) had once again invited the colleagues, high ranked employees working in the company offices in various countries to Armenia both to hold business negotiations, discussion of joint projects and inofficial networking and excursion through one of the ancient countries in the world. As it was mentioned by Erik Hayrapetyan, the Yerevan Office Leader of EY during the recent official reception, this event is held third year in a row and has already become a persistent tradition. The guests have arrived from various countries of Europe and Americas, as well as CIS. "The event of this year is especially notable since we managed to gather our colleagues in our hospitable and open city, who are not only of Armenian ancestry or representatives of Diaspora, but also our foreign colleagues, friends and partners. This is a brilliant idea, which is corresponds the general ideology of the Company", E. Hayrapetyan mentioned.
Among the invited guests there were the authors of the idea to organize the meeting of the Armenians at the historical homeland, people of no Armenian roots, but who are the good friends of the Armenians like Jay Nibbe, the EY Global Vice Chair - Tax and Karl Johansson, the former CIS Regional Managing Partner. According to the Office Leader, the event supports the strengthening of the ties between the Armenian community members worldwide that has been already formed within the Company and its enlargement every year. "We realize the importance of pan-Armenian unification, especially now, when our country is commemorating the centenary of the Armenian Genocide in the Ottoman Empire", said Hayrapetyan. In his interview to the ArmInfo journalist he emphasized that the decision not to limit the participants by only Armenians but to invite foreign friends of Armenia to the event is crucial and it increased the number of participants a lot compared to the last years. "This decision resulted in certain positive aspects. Many of our compatriots and partners are participating in our projects throughout Armenia. We consider this as a major achievement that many invited Armenians having visited the land of their ancestors felt certain motivation to do something good and useful for it, became familiar with it and got actively involved in the life of Armenia", mentioned E. Hayrapetyan.
In his turn, Hakob Sarkissian, the CIS Valuation and Business Modeling Leader told that the colleagues have gathered in Armenia in order to discuss the audit and tax consulting projects that can be of interest of Armenia. "We recorded exceptional success in the field of tax consulting. Particularly, compared to the previous year the growth of the volume of services rendered in Armenia made 80% and we intend to double this indicator by the next year" H. Sarkissian mentioned. According to him, the demand for quality consulting services had increased in Armenia. "We cannot tell that we recorded sharp increase of the demand for consulting services, but it worth to mention that they became more popular and pressing. The businesses are gradually realizing the necessity of consulting since its application is enhancing the efficiency of business activities in the perspective and the costs are paying themselves", H. Sarkissian emphasized.
