In Jan-Aug 2015 Armenal increased aluminum foil output by 3.6%

 

In August alone, the aluminum foil output dropped by 8.3% to 2.2 thsd tons, and the rolled aluminum output totaled 0.3 tons. 

 

The Armenian aluminum foil is mostly exported to the USA and Europe.  Armenal is a wholly owned subsidiary of Rusal which runs an aluminum foil mill in the Arabkir district of Yerevan, Armenia. The mill was formerly known as the Kanaker aluminum smelter, which was commissioned in 1950, and became one of the largest aluminum foil mills in the Soviet Union and Europe in the 1980s.
