High rates of brandy and wine output registered due to fair yield of grape

ArmInfo. High rates of brandy and wine output have been registered due to fair yield of grape in Armenia. In Jan-Sep 2015 versus Jan-Sep 2014, the brandy output in Armenia dropped by 9.1% to 10971.2 thsd liters, the National Statistical Service of Armenia reports. In September alone the brandy output increased by 85.3% to 2098.6 thsd liters. The key sales market for Armenian brandy is Russia and the CIS.

In Jan-Sep 2015, the wine output rose by 5.2% to 3 999 thsd liters (up 14.7% to 513.8 thsd liters in September alone), champagne output was up 1.9% to 253 thsd liters (up 2.6% to 28 thsd liters in September alone), vodka and liquor output dropped by 7.2% to 6084.9 thsd liters (down 18.9% to 494.1 thsd liters in September alone), and beer output fell by 13.8% to 17959.1 thsd liters (down 34.1% to 1819.8 thsd liters in September alone).
