Wages of public sector employees rise amid budget deficit growth

According to the preliminary data of the Armenian National Statistical Service, in Jan-Oct 2015 the salary in the state-run organizations made up 162,093 AMD ($340), 11% more than in Jan-Oct 2014. The salary in non-budget organizations grew by 7.1% to 209,019 AMD ($438). In October alone, the wages in the state-run organizations rose by 1.5%, with those in non-budget organizations 

rising by 0.1%.

 

The average AMD/USD exchange rate was 472.55 AMD/$1 in October 2015 and 477.19 AMD/$1 in Jan- Oct 2015 versus 409.98 AMD/$1 in October 2014 and 410.70 AMD/$1 in Jan-Oct 2014.
