ArmInfo. Armenia is experiencing growth of foreign investments in almost all sectors according to the National Statistical Service, Armenian Economy Minister Karen Chshmarityan said before the Government's meeting on December 3.
He said that until quite recently the country suffered certain decline in some direct foreign investments, but now the foreign investments in almost all sectors from almost all countries have grown.
To note, according to the National Statistical Service of Armenia, in Jan-Sept 2015, the total inflow of foreign investments to Armenia's real economy (exclusive of those through the banking system) amounted to nearly 141.5 bln AMD (up 36.6% versus Jan-Sept 2014). The inflow of the direct foreign investments to Armenian economy totaled 125.1 bln versus 107.17 bln in Jan-Sept 2014.
In Jan-Sept 2015 Switzerland was in the lead in foreign investments in Armenia's real economy (about 44.6 bln AMD, including 41.6 bln AMD direct foreign investments). The list of the top three investors in Armenia's real economy also includes Germany (about 29.7 bln AMD) and Luxembourg (about 28.1 bln AMD).
