Armenia Telephone Company (Beeline trademark) retains leadership among communication operators on the list of largest taxpayers of Armenia

ArmInfo. "Armenia Telephone Company" CJSC (Beeline trademark) retains leadership among the communication operators on the list of the largest taxpayers of Armenia. In Q1 2016, the company paid 3.4 bln AMD to the state budget, including 443.2 mln AMD in customs duties, 1.8 bln AMD in direct taxes (including the profit tax and income tax), 1.3 bln AMD in indirect taxes (including VAT and excise tax). On the total list of the 1,000 largest taxpayers, Armenia Telephone Company is the fifth (versus the third position a year before). According to the State Revenue Committee of Armenia, in Q1 2016, the five communication operators of Armenia paid a total of 6.8 bln AMD in taxes, including 810.5 mln AMD in direct taxes and 1.6 bln AMD in indirect taxes.  

K-Telecom (VivaCell-MTS trademark) is the second largest taxpayer among the communication operators.  It paid 1.9 bln AMD in taxes, including 1 bln AMD in direct taxes and 158.1 mln AMD in indirect taxes.  The company is the 12th on the list of the 1,000 largest taxpayers (versus the 33rd position a year before).

Orange Armenia (merged with UCom) holds the third position. It paid 782.5 mln AMD in taxes, including 210.7 mln in direct taxes and 144.8 mln AMD in indirect taxes. The company is the 31st on the list of the 1,000 largest taxpayers (versus the 30th position a year before).

UCom has become the fourth by paying 530.1 mln AMD in taxes, including 420.9 mln AMD in direct taxes and 88.5 mln AMD in indirect taxes. The company is the 51st on the list of the 1,000 largest taxpayers (versus 66th position a year before).

GNC Alfa CJSC (Rostelecom) is the fifth largest taxpayer among the communication operators. It paid 199.3 mln AMD in taxes, including 177.5 mln AMD in direct taxes and 16.1 mln AMD in indirect taxes. It is the 135th on the list of the 1,000 largest taxpayers (versus the 267th position a year before).

To note, in Q1 2015, the five operators paid a total of 6.4 bln AMD in taxes, with 4.2 bln AMD being the share of Armenia Telephone Company (Beeline). As of 31 March 2016, the AMD/USD exchange rate was 480.79 AMD/$1).
