Rosgosstrakh Armenia retains leadership in terms of insurance payouts in motor third party liability insurance

ArmInfo. Rosgosstrakh Armenia retains leadership in terms of payouts in motor third party liability insurance (MTPL) for the 6th year in a row. In Q1 2016, the company paid out 717 mln AMD in MTPL.

The press office of Rosgosstrakh Armenia has told ArmInfo that in Q1 2016 over 3,250 cars were repaired at the expense of the MTPL indemnities paid out by the company. 140 people, who got into accidence, underwent treatment at Armenia's hospitals at the expense of the funds paid out by the company.

According to the data posted on the official website of the Armenian Motor Insurers' Bureau, Rosgosstrakh Armenia is in the lead in terms of the average amount of indemnity per insurable event. In Q1 2016, the average amount of indemnity was 212 thsd AMD, while the average market amount of MTPL payout was 188 thsd AMD.

Rosgosstrakh Armenia is also in the lead in terms of the total amount of indemnities paid out in Q1 2016 - 1.44 bln AMD. As regards other classes of insurance, the company paid out the biggest amount in motor own damage insurance, financial risk insurance, insurance of those going abroad, etc.

"Rosgosstrakh Armenia" CJSC was established in Armenia in 2008.  It operates on the basis of the Central Bank's license No.0009 issued on May 20 2008 for non-life insurance policies. The company is a subsidiary of ROSGOSSTRAKH Group (Russia). The authorized capital of the company is 4.5 bln AMD.  The company runs 50 offices in all towns of Armenia (including 19 branches), with 15 of them in Yerevan and 35 in the regional centers and cities in Armenia. In Dec 2011, "Rosgosstrakh Armenia" CJSC was the first on the insurance market of Armenia to get the certificate of compliance ISO 9001:2008 from Moody International.
