Vahan Shakaryan: ARMPHONE is a new step towards improvement of Armenia economy

ArmInfo. ARMPHONE is a new step towards improvement of Armenia's economy, Vahan Shakaryan, President and Executive Officer at Technology and Science Dynamics (TSD) Company, said during the presentation of the first Armenian smartphone - ARMPHONE - today, on June 6.  

He said the quality of the Armenian smartphone does not yield to the quality of popular analogues in the market of mobile technologies and the company is fully responsible for its product, starting from the production up to the service.   Vahan Shakaryan said the Armenian technologies are promising and can compete on the international market, particularly, with Chinese developers.  It is time to change the mode of thinking, he said.

As for the price policy, he said the price start from 50,000 AMD up to 150,000. The product will be available on the Russian, Ukrainian, Georgian, Kazakh and Belarusian markets so far. "We have studied the market. There is demand. At the current stage, the company is taking steps in the given direction," he said adding the export of the Armenian smartphones to Europe is a matter of time.  Talking to ArmInfo's correspondent, a representative of TSD Cmpany Marina Aslanyan said five models of smartphones - 0502, 0505, 0508, 0509 Ё0520 - will come in retail, with some having 32GB built-in memory, operating on Android 5.1 or Android 6.0, 4G connections, and fingerprint identification.  The phones can be purchased by installments through INECOBANK starting June 7.
