ArmInfo. Nominal salary in Armenia totaled 184,987 drams ($383) for Jan-Jul 2016 with a 2.3% y-o-y growth and 6.9% growth for July alone. In July 2016 versus July 2015, this indicator decreased 0.5%.
According to the preliminary data of the National Statistical Service of Armenia, the salary at the state-run enterprises for Jan-Jul 2016 totaled 159,957AMD ($331), a 0.1% lower than a year before. The salary in private organizations grew by 5.2% to 218,928AMD ($453). In July alone, the salary at the state-run enterprises increased 11%, amid 2.9% growth of the salary at privately owned enterprises (up 1.3% for May alone). These indicators increased 3.5% and fell 2.4%, respectively as compared to July 2015.
A year earlier, the nominal salary for Jan-Jul 2015 in Armenia increased 9.9% and 5.3% for July alone.
In July 2016, the AMD/USD average exchange rate was 476.52 AMD/1USD, and in Jan- Jul 2016 - 482.81 AMD/1USD versus 477.33 AMD/1USD in July 2015 and 476.93 AMD/1USD in Jan-Jul 2015.
