ArmInfo. In the firs half of 2016, Russia reduced gas supply to Armenia by 27.3% y-o-y to 818352,4 thousand cubic meters with 40.1% y-o-y decline in monetary terms to $ 131.3 mln.
At the same time gas supply from Iran grew by only 1.2% to 186526,8 cubic meters with decline in monetary terms by 9.9% to $ 31.4 mln. As a result according to the data of Customs Service of Armenia 1004879,2 thousand c.m of gas was imported to Armenia in H1 2016 (23.3% y-o-y decline) amounted to $ 162.7 mln (36% y-o-y decline).
According to the source in the reported period the export of gas from Armenia totaled 24702 thousand cubic meters amounted to $6.2 mln, while there was no export according to the previous year's report by the Customs Service. This amount was fully exported to Georgia.
In 2016 within indicative balance approved each year in accordance with the Armenian-Russian intergovernmental agreement from December 2, 2013 the supply of gas to Armenia from Russia is envisaged at 2.5 bln cubic meters. 300 mln cubic meters of gas from Iran is envisaged to supply to Armenia.
