The official press release of "Armenia" International Airports" CJSC says that the company made a survey among the air companies regarding the cost of round-trip tickets from Yerevan for 27/12/2016 - 15.01.2017.

Barcelona - $362, Rome - $301, Paris - $373, Vienna - $296, Athens - $356, London - $442, Prague - $349, Los Angeles - $747, New York - $536, Beijing - $359, Dubai - $275. The prices are also valid for those who booked the air tickets in September 2016.
To note, "Armenia" International Airports" CJSC owned by Argentine businessman Eduardo Eurnekian manages Zvartnots International Airport under a concession agreement that was signed for 30 years. Over the past few years the airport has been strongly criticized by experts for the high service prices, which are reflected in the ticket prices. Therefore, almost half of the incoming and outgoing passengers of Armenia choose Georgia as a transit country. In 2015, the passenger flow at Zvartnots Airport was 1 mln 879 thsd, while the number of transit passengers, who made use of Tbilisi Airport was 1 mln 470 thsd. According to official data, over the past three years, 16 international air carriers closed down their offices in Armenia and 10 companies opened representations. Czech Airlines and Etihad Airways left the Armenian market, but the number of companies from Russia and the CIS has grown.
