EXPO-RUSSIA ARMENIA 2016 to kick off in Yerevan on October 26

ArmInfo. The seventh  international exhibition EXPO-RUSSIA ARMENIA 2016 in Yerevan promises  to be multisectoral, Svetlana Zabelina, director of the exhibition,  said at a press conference on October 25. The event will cover the  following fields:  power engineering, machine building, metallurgy,  transport and logistics, geology and mining industry, construction,  chemical industry, communication and telecommunications, IT,  innovations, investments, banks, insurance companies, food and  agriculture, medicine, education, etc. Iran will take part in the  exhibition for the first time. 

EXPO-RUSSIA ARMENIA 2016 plus IRAN and a business forum timed to the  exhibition will be held at Yerevan Expo on October 26-28. The  exhibition aims to develop economic, scientific-technical, cultural  and political cooperation between Russia and Armenia, to establish  and strengthen ties, joint business, trade, economic and investment  relations.

On October 25, the fifth business forum will make a presentation of  11 regions of Russia and 8 marzes of Armenia. Representatives of  Belarus, Iran and Syria are expected to attend the event. On October  27-28, roundtables will be held at a number of ministries, as well as  at the Committee of Urban Development of Armenia. On October 28, a  Letter of Intent will be signed with the SME DNC. Nearly 500  companies from Belarus, Kazakhstan, Tajikistan, Syria, CIS will  participate in EXPO RUSSIA ARMENIA 2016 plus IRAN. Representatives of  the state structures and business circles of Iran will also take part  in the event. 

Russian Ambassador to Armenia Ivan Volynkin said that such  exhibitions contribute to promotion of the bilateral trade and  economic relations. "Interregional cooperation is a very promising  format.  Representatives of enterprises from many regions of Russia  visit Armenia and establish contacts with the local companies from  different Armenian marzes. These direct contacts make a huge  contribution to the general success of economic cooperation,"  Volynkin said, stressing that the Armenian-Russian partnership is  developing in all dimensions. 

The event is organized by Zarubezh Expo (Russia) with the support of  the Russian Foreign Ministry, Ministry of Economic Development under  the patronage of the Russian Chamber of Commerce and Industry, as  well as the heads of the Chambers of Commerce and Industry of the CIS  member states.
