ArmInfo. In Jan-Sept 2016, the revenues of the communication sector of Armenia amounted to 114.4 bln AMD (down 8.5% versus Jan-Sept 2015). According to the National Statistical Service of Armenia, telecommunications secured 95% of the total revenues, or 108.6 bln AMD (down 8.3% versus Jan-Sept 2015).
The source says that in Sept 2016 the total revenues of the communication sector fell by 6.1% to 12.5 bln AMD. Telecommunications secured 11.7 bln AMD (down 7.5% versus Aug 2016). As compared to Sept 2015, the revenues of communication fell by 13.2% (12.7% decline in telecommunications).
For comparison, in Jan-Sept 2015 the revenues of the communication sector of Armenia totaled 126.2 bln AMD, with the share of telecommunications being 119.7 bln AMD.
