Nominal salary growth in Armenia slows down from 9,2% to 2,4%

ArmInfo. Nominal salary growth   in Armenia drops down from 9,2% in January-October 2015 to 2,4% in  January-October 2016, forming AMD 185689 (USD 387). Only in October  salary decreased for 0,2% versus 0,8% growth in October 2015. In  October 2016, compared to that of 2015, the nominal salary growth  slowed down also- to 3,1% in October 2015 vs 5,7% in October 2014.  

According to the preliminary information shared  by the National  Statistics Service, the salary in budget based entitites in  January-October 2016 formed AMD 159791  (USD 333), decreasing for 1,1  %, versus the growth of 11 % a year ago. At that, the salary at  non-budget entities also slowed down with its annual growth from 7,1%  to 5,2%, forming  AMD 219893 (USD 458). Only in October the budget  based salary decreased for 0,5%, and non-budget remained the same,  while a a year ago  as per the same month both budget and non-budget  based salaries growth was fixed for 1,5% and 0,1% respectively. 

To compare, the nominal salary in Armenia in January-October 2014  grew up in an annual view for 7,8%, and for October solely - for 0,7  %. At that, the budget based salary in October grew for 1,3%, while  the non-budget - for 0,1%, within the annual growth for  January-October for 7,4% and 8% respectively. 

The AMD average exchange rate in October formed AMD 475,25/USD1, and  in January-October - AMD,45/USD1, versus AMD 472,55/USD1 in October  2015 and AMD 477,19/USD1 in January-October 2015. In October 2014 the  exchange rate was at AMD 409,98/USD1, and in Juanuary-October period  of 2014 - AMD 410,70/USD1.
