ArmInfo. Armenian telecommunications market is pretty advanced and innovated, Mikhail Gerchuk, the Eurasian Region Director General of Vimpelcom Group of Companies shared his opinion to ArmInfo reporter, estimating Armenian market and comparing it to European markets.
"Armenia is one of very few countries providing latest communication services, particularly, the 4th generation LTE network is being operated here, and Armenia was the third country in the world to launch the network mentioned. At the same time it is planned to launch integrated (mobile and fixed) products, which are still unavailable in Eurasia," he mentioned. According to Gerchuk, one of the drivers for the industrial growth is the strict competition between Armenian communication operators, which promotes the dynamic flow of modernization of services being supplied in IT- sector.
Referring to the Company's activities, Gerchuk noted that Vimpelcom today has taken a path of digital transformation, and within that certain innovation-based products will be launched, as wel as the network and services modernization. " This is the fow of our company that we implement, testing innovations in all the countries Vimpelcom is represented at. We are intended to become the best operator in Armenia to provide high speed and high quality Internet," Gerchuk summarized.
